PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a lithium ion battery, high in piercing resistance, and good in internal resistance of a lithium ion battery including the separator, and also good in heat resistance and piercing resistance.SOLUTION: A coated layer including an inorganic pigment is arranged in an A layer of a nonwoven fabric base material which mainly comprises thermoplastic fibers and is obtained by laminating the layer (A layer) including no fibrillated fiber and a layer (B layer) including fibrillated aromatic fibers, and is infiltrated into the A layer at least over 50% or more of the thickness of the A layer. |
