摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving energy saving performance by performing operation while considering a relationship between an air conditioning load and air conditioning capability of the air conditioner.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: an air conditioning part for conditioning air in an air-conditioned space; and a control device for controlling the air conditioning part to be operated when a temperature in the air-conditioned space is a thermostat-ON temperature, and the air conditioning part to be stopped when the temperature in the air-conditioned space is a thermostat-OFF temperature, the control device having a first operation mode and a second operation mode between which a temperature difference between the thermostat-ON temperature and the thermostat-OFF temperature is different, the second operation mode being set to have a greater temperature difference than the first operation mode. The control device estimates an air conditioning load on the air-conditioned space, compares the estimated air conditioning load with a predetermined air conditioning capability of the air conditioning part, and performs the first operation mode when the air conditioning load is not smaller than the predetermined air conditioning capability and performs the second operation mode when the air conditioning load is smaller than the predetermined air conditioning capability.
