PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the freedom of selecting a photoelectric conversion unit which is used in reducing noise caused by high frequency components, thereby improving picture quality.SOLUTION: An image pickup device of the present invention is provided with a plurality of pixels and a connection unit. The pixels each include a photoelectric conversion unit, an amplification unit to output signals based on charges produced in the photoelectric conversion unit, and a memory unit to hold the signals output from the amplification unit. The connection unit electrically connects the memory units in the plurality of pixels each other. Then, the connection unit switches a combination of pixels as it connects the memory units. |
