PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper towel which has a required thick feeling and strength and eliminates the risk that relatively much pulp fibers fall off during use, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The paper towel 10 is formed by a spunlace fiber nonwoven fabric having a three-layer structure composed of a first layer 13 positioned on the side of a first surface 11, a second layer 14 positioned on the side of a second surface 12, and a third layer 15 positioned between the first and the second layers 13, 14. The first and the second layers 11, 12 are formed of a synthetic fiber 19 and a hydrophilic fiber 18. The third layer 15 comprises at least a pulp fiber 20. The synthetic fiber 19 and the hydrophilic fiber 18 have a fineness of about 1.7 dtex or less. The pulp fiber 20 has an average fiber length of about 2.2 mm or more. The first and the second layers 13, 14 have an average pore diameter of 30 to 50 μm. |
