PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling roll of a twin roll casting apparatus, configured to prevent a roll end from causing a roll edge reduced diameter portion, even if an incoming heat to a cooling roll is increased more than a normal time.SOLUTION: One of paired cooling rolls is a barrel-shaped roll 100a having a center diameter in a longitudinal direction which is larger than an end diameter in the longitudinal direction, and the other one of the paired cooling rolls is a convergent-divergent roll 200a having a center diameter in the longitudinal direction which is smaller than the end diameter in the longitudinal direction. A roll gap 3 is formed between the barrel-shaped roll 100a and the convergent-divergent roll 200a, the roll gap gradually becoming narrower as the roll gap extends from a center of the rolls in the longitudinal direction to the ends of the rolls in the longitudinal direction. |
