PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain gear device improved in durability of an outer gear and increased in output torque.SOLUTION: The strain gear device 10 includes an inner gear 13, the outer gear 18 disposed inside of the inner gear and annularly formed, a wave generator 19 disposed inside of the outer gear 18, making a part of the inner gear 13 engaged with a part of the outer gear 18 by warping the outer gear 18, and moving an engagement part of the inner gear 13 and the outer gear 18 by being rotated and driven, in the circumferential direction of the inner gear 13 and the outer gear 18, and an output shaft SO engaged with the outer gear 18 to be rotated in accompany with rotation of the outer gear 18. The outer gear 18 has an annular rim R1, and teeth are integrally formed on an outer periphery of the rim R1. A part of an inner peripheral face at a side opposite to the part provided with the teeth, of an outer peripheral face of the rim R1 is provided with groove portions 18a extending in parallel in a tooth width direction of the teeth. |
