PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for managing a carbonization chamber for enabling a perpetually smooth extrusion of a coke cake without entailing a push-up blockage accompanying the swelling of the coke cake.SOLUTION: In this method for managing a coke oven body, the coke cake height and the extrusion current value of an extruder are measured on an occasion for extruding the coke cake so as to ensure a smooth extrusion of the coke cake, and in a case where the distance between the apex of the coke cake and the carbonization chamber ceiling has become equal to or lesser than a gap predicted to yield a push-up blockage and where the position of a ram has encroached into the oven interior by at least a management value at a stage where the extrusion current value exhibits a maximal value, repairs of oven walls and oven bottom including the removal of carbon deposits within the carbonization chamber are executed. |
