摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure that further facilitates effective cooling of a rotary electric machine.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 10 stores a rotating shaft 16, a rotor 14, and a stator 12 in a casing 18. A structure for cooling the rotary electric machine 10 includes: coolant passages 40, 42, 44, and 46 that guide a coolant that is supplied to the interior of the rotating shaft 16, from the interior of the rotating shaft 16 through the interior of the rotor 14 to a discharge port 48 that is formed in an outer surface of the rotor 14; and scattering sections 36, as regions of the casing 18 against which the coolant discharged through the discharge port 48 collides, that scatter and bounce the coolant as colliding therewith. The coolant passages 40, 42, 44, and 46 and the scattering sections 36 are arranged in such a manner that the coolant discharged from the discharge port 48 approaches the scattering sections 36 at an angle α of 45 degrees to 90 degrees.
