PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing a time and labor required for a user's operation and enhancing matching between a paper attribute setting and stored paper.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes receiving means for receiving a print job, a plurality of trays for storing paper on which printing is to be performed, image forming means for recording an image on the paper, paper attribute management means for managing paper attribute information of the paper stored in the trays, and detection means for detecting the tray related to printing of the print job and information about the tray based on the paper attribute information managed by the paper attribute management means. When the print job is stopped and the tray is opened/closed, if the job is stopped because the tray runs out of paper, paper attribute information of the tray is determined without the paper attribute management means being urged to set or confirm the paper attribute information. |
