PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manage a plurality of virtual machines.SOLUTION: A virtual machine management system 100 acquires an operation instruction for virtual machine through a network, and specifies a virtual machine as a target of processing based upon virtual machine identification information. Then the virtual machine management system acquires a virtual machine file indicative of a state of the virtual machine, and generates a virtual machine file indicative of a state of a past virtual machine based upon a previously stored virtual machine file of a predetermined state and previously stored difference information. Further, the virtual machine management system compares contents of the virtual machine files with each other to generate new difference information, stores the difference information associatively with the virtual machine identification information, and also stores common contents associatively with the virtual machine identification information. |
