PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated white lined chipboard which achieves surface cleanliness of a white paperboard of a higher grade, while retaining most distinctive features including a cost advantage and a high-degree use of recycled pulp and features such as good printing and processing characteristics.SOLUTION: The coated white lined chipboard is a white paper board which includes a base paper having at least 4 layers of a surface layer, a subsurface layer, a middle layer, and a back layer, and a pigment-coated layer applied to the surface layer. The surface layer is mainly composed of high quality recycled pulp. The subsurface layer is mainly composed of recycled magazine pulp or deinked recycled newspaper pulp, or both of the pulp. A two-layer structure composed of the surface layer and the pigment-coated layer has an opacity of 85% or more. The pigment-coated layer has a coating weight of 15 g/mto 25 g/mand an opacity of 60% or more. |
