PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load on head position computation according to a head position.SOLUTION: In a simple determination system in which the magnitude relation between a first value computed from burst data A, B, and a second value computed from burst data C, D. An initial computation part 9A initiates the computation of the first value before the reading of the burst data C, D is finished. A simple determination part 9B makes a determination using a simple determination system after the reading of the burst data C, D is finished. A head position determination part 9C determines the position of a magnetic head HM based on the head position determination system computed from the burst data A, B, C, and D. When a condition for the simple determination system is satisfied, the inhibition processing part 9D performs an inhibition process. When the condition for the simple determination system is not satisfied, the writing processing part 9E performs a writing process based on the computation result of the head position determination system. |
