PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical element exhibiting excellent stability and storage characteristics at high temperatures, and to provide a separator which can constitute the electrochemical element while ensuring high productivity.SOLUTION: The separator for electrochemical element for use in an electrochemical element having a nonaqueous electrolyte contains a material which adsorbs transition metal ions eluted into the nonaqueous electrolyte, and a filler having a heatproof temperature of 150°C or higher. A sodium salt of ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid is used as the material adsorbing transition metal ions eluted into the nonaqueous electrolyte. The electrochemical element includes a positive electrode using a lithium-containing transition metal oxide as an active material, a negative electrode, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a separator, and the separator is the inventive separator for electrochemical element. |
