PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which can be smoothly inserted without being caught on an inner wall of a tubular organ with a small inner diameter and hardly damages the tubular organ.SOLUTION: A guide wire 10 comprises a core wire 20 and a resin film 30 with which an outer periphery of the core wire is coated. The core wire 20 includes a proximal end portion 21 and a distal end portion 23 having a diameter reduced compared to that of the proximal end portion 21, and the distal end portion 23 includes a linear portion 25 extending from the proximal end portion 21 via a diameter reduced portion 24, a bending portion 26 which bends from a distal end of the linear portion 25 with a curvature radius R of 0.5-2 mm and extends, and a folded-back portion 27 which extends from a distal end of the bending portion 26 in such a manner to be folded back toward the side of the proximal end portion 21. A wire diameter T2 for a part located within a length L1 of 15-30 mm that includes the diameter reduced portion 24, the linear portion 25, and a part turning from an apex part 26a of the bending portion 26 to the side of the proximal end portion 21 in the axial direction in the bending portion 26 and for a part from the apex part 26a of the bending portion 26 to a distal end of the folded-back portion 27 in the core wire 20 is formed to be 0.1-0.2 mm. |
