摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon-based functional composite material which a lower amount of carbon-based materials for imparting functions is mixed in than that in the conventional ones but is functionally equivalent to the conventional ones and avoids embrittlement, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: A functional plastic material 10 comprises a first thermoplastic resin 11, a second thermoplastic resin 12 the melting temperature of which is higher than that of the first thermoplastic resin 11 and a carbon-based material 13. The production method thereof comprises: a first step of heating and kneading the first thermoplastic resin, the second thermoplastic resin and the carbon-based material at a first molding temperature which is equal to or higher than a melting temperature of the first thermoplastic resin and also equal to or lower than a melting temperature of the second thermoplastic resin, and obtaining a first molded body 21 with the first thermoplastic resin melted; and a second process of heating and pressing the first molded body without kneading the first molded body at a second molding temperature which is equal to or higher than the melting temperature of the second thermoplastic resin, and forming a second molded body 22 having reinforcement members 16 in a state where particles of the second thermoplastic resin are welded to one another in the first molded body .
