摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for an optical signal selection device which can obtain a characteristic nearer a desired optical signal selection characteristic.SOLUTION: An optical signal selection device is provided with: a wavelength spectroscope for spectrally diffracting an optical signal inputted by an input/output optical fiber array in the direction almost orthogonal to a switch direction; and a phase modulation element array which has phase modulation elements arranged in a two-dimensional shape in the switch direction and a spectral direction, where the spectrally diffracted optical signal is made incident, and which diffracts the incident optical signal. In the optical signal selection device which applies linear phase modulation for diffracting the optical signal to a row of phrase modulation elements arranged along the switch direction with respect to the phase modulation element array, as phase modulation to be applied to a prescribed phase modulation element, phase modulation in which correction to correct an influence by interaction between a prescribed phase modulation element caused by applying reference phase modulation and other phase modulation elements is added is applied to the reference phase modulation to be applied when there is no interaction among the respective phase modulation elements.
