PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial position specification method and device of a step motor capable of increasing the resolution of axial position specification and making it unnecessary to provide a memory for storing the axial position.SOLUTION: In the axial position specification method and device of a step motor, a resolver 10 in which one periodic angle of a resolver signal 10a is not divisible by a unit mechanical angle equivalent to an electric angle 360° of a step motor 2 is mounted on a rotation axis 22 of the step motor 2, and the axial position of the step motor 2 is specified on the basis of a resolver count 11a to be obtained by R/D-converting the resolver signal 10a when exciting the specific phase of the step motor 2. |
