PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus and such which can accurately correct reading density difference in a main scanning direction of a receiver, even when a reference image has uneven density.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 100 comprises: a light source 110; a CCD sensor 130 for reading a reference image S; moving means 140 for moving the CCD sensor 130 and the reference image S relatively in a main scanning direction; a shading data creation section; and a shading correction section. The shading data creation section comprises a light quantity value acquisition unit for acquiring a light quantity value created by the CCD sensor 130 for each pixel when the CCD sensor 130 is moved by the moving means 140, and a correction coefficient derivation unit for deriving shading data by using whether a part of a light quantity profile obtained from the light quantity value acquired by the light quantity value acquisition unit moves in association with the movement of the CCD sensor 130 when the CCD sensor is moved by the moving means 140. |
