PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying method and a dryer with excellent energy efficiency.SOLUTION: A drying method according to the present invention comprises: a preparation ste; a pressure-reduction step; and a drying step. In the preparation step, a dryer 2 comprising a drying chamber 4 and a condensation chamber 6 arranged in the drying chamber 4 is prepared. A dried material is arranged in the drying chamber 22. In the pressure-reduction step, gas is exhausted from the drying chamber 4 and the condensation chamber 6. In the drying step, the dried material is dried. In the drying step, while the gas is not exhausted from the condensation chamber 6, steam generated in the drying chamber 4 is fed to the condensation chamber 6, and pressure of the condensation chamber 6 is made higher than that of the drying chamber 4. The gas in the drying chamber 4 is heated by heat generated by the condensation chamber 6. |
