PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of stably holding an inner column 14c on the inner diameter side of an outer column 13d.SOLUTION: An outer column 13d and a movable side bracket 22b are integrally molded by a hydroforming method to swell. Swelled parts 23a and 23a constituting the support part 26 of the outer column 13d and the outer peripheral surface of the inner column 14c abut on each other only at three places in a circumferential direction. Around the axial middle part of a column side through-hole 30 in the width-direction outer surface of the holding plates 25a and 25a of the movable side bracket 22b, a projected part 31 is disposed to project in a width direction from both width-direction outer surfaces. In an assembled state, the width-direction side faces of the support plates 28 and 28 of the fixed side bracket 12b and the width-direction outer surface of the projected part 31 abut on each other. |
