PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing reverse flow of ink into a main liquid portion of a cartridge.SOLUTION: A cartridge is detachably mounted in a printer and supplies liquid accommodated therein from a liquid supply port to the printer. The cartridge comprises: a main liquid chamber; a detection chamber provided downstream the main liquid chamber for detecting the liquid in the cartridge; a liquid damping portion provided in a flow passage between the detection chamber and the liquid supply port; and a communication passage for causing the detection chamber and the liquid damping portion to communicate with each other. The communication passage has a shape in which at least a part of a flow passage cross section is devoid of any angle. |
