PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte which allows for production of a battery having balanced overall performance of durability, capacity, resistance, output characteristics, and the like, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode and a negative electrode capable of occluding/releasing metal ions contains a compound represented by following general formula (1), and a compound having more than one isocyanate group in a molecule, together with an electrolyte and a nonaqueous solvent. The compound represented by the general formula (1) is contained 0.001-0.5 mass% for the total amount of the nonaqueous electrolyte. (In the formula (1), Cx, Cy are an organic group of 1-20C which may have a substituent group. Dashed line between Cx, Cy represents a single bond or a double bond. Z is any one of an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom which may have a substituent group.) |
