PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photodetection connector capable of improving distinguishability without exerting an influence upon communication light.SOLUTION: A photodetection connector 20a is a connector for detachably connecting an optical fiber 17a used for optical transmission to an optical fiber 16a. The photodetection connector 20a includes: a communication light transmission core 21a capable of transmitting communication light; a cladding 24a provided around the communication light transmission core 21a and having a lower refractive index than that of the communication light transmission core 21a; auxiliary light transmission cores 22a and 23a arranged further outside than the communication light transmission core 21a in a radial direction of the cladding 24a and capable of transmitting auxiliary light; a notched part 27a capable of radiating visible light L outside the optical fiber 17a; and a ferrule 26a for holding an end part of the optical fiber 17a constituted by the communication light transmission core 21a, the auxiliary light transmission cores 22a and 23a, and the cladding 24a.
