PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clearance expansion tool for a heat transfer pipe which is used for favorably inserting a vibration suppression member in a clearance between adjacent heat transfer pipes, and provide a method for additionally providing a vibration suppression member by using the clearance expansion tool.SOLUTION: A clearance expansion tool includes a tool body 81 inserted into a clearance between adjacent heat transfer pipes, an inflow port 88 provided in the tool body 81 for flow of fluid into the tool body 81, and a balloon 85 provided in the tool body 81 and expanding the clearance by the flow of the fluid into the inside of the tool body 81. |
