PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which checks a face state in real time, enables make-up of a face while referring to a sample, and displays information in accordance with the face.SOLUTION: A mirror type make-up assisting device includes: an image sensor 11 which images a face of a person; a control unit 13 (reference information extraction unit 130) which extracts reference information associated with the face from a video of the face of the person imaged by the image sensor 11; and a display unit 12 in which a mirror image of the face of the person and the extracted reference information are superposed with each other and displayed.
