INDUCTION MOTOR AND ROLLING STOCK USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction motor made highly efficient and a rolling stock using the same.SOLUTION: An induction motor includes a stator, and a rotor arranged opposite to the stator via a cavity. The rotor includes conductor rods in a plurality of slots formed by a plurality of tooth parts which are arranged extending in the circumferential direction of a rotatably retained rotor iron core. A circumferential tip of the slot is narrowed by circumferential tips of the tooth parts, and a circumferential tip shape of a tooth part forms a convex part protruding toward the conductor rod in the slot from a tooth tip in the form of a circular arc.
