PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saving testing method and a saving testing device of a thermal transfer ink ribbon, capable of easily testing saving characteristics of a newly purchased or newly developed thermal transfer ink ribbon by a relatively simple and compact device, and putting the thermal transfer ribbon 1 relatively early to a market.SOLUTION: Focusing on stacking a plurality of thermal transfer ink ribbons 1 to prepare a laminate sample 32 and testing it in a constant temperature room 27 in a predetermined pressurized state and a heated state, the laminate sample 32 is positioned between a lifting stage 23 lifted in the thickness direction of the laminate sample 32 prepared by stacking the plurality of thermal transfer ink ribbons 1 and an abutment columnar body 25. The laminate sample 32 of the thermal transfer ink ribbon 1 is pressurized in its thickness direction with fixed pressure, and placed in the constant temperature room 27 of a constant temperature for a fixed time. After the passage of the fixed time, an ink transfer amount from the ink layer of the thermal transfer ink ribbon 1 is observed, and then saving characteristics of the thermal transfer ink ribbon 1 are determined. |
