PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-traveling thermal spray apparatus capable of approximately automatically carrying out thermal spray work without installing a rail, and to provide a thermal spray method using the self-traveling thermal spray apparatus.SOLUTION: A self-traveling thermal spray apparatus 1 includes a traveling frame 2 capable of self-traveling, thermal spray material supplying reels 3a, 3b mounted on the traveling frame 2 and supplying a thermal spray material, a thermal spray gun 4 melting and spraying the thermal spray material reeled out of the thermal spray material supplying reels 3a, 3b, and a reciprocator 7 reciprocating the thermal spray gun 4 in a direction orthogonal to a traveling direction of the traveling frame 2. |
