PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve such a problem that startability of a TIG welder sometimes becomes poor due to difference in quality of materials for workpieces, and consequently a discharge gap length is often adjusted for countermeasures for improving the startability.SOLUTION: A high-frequency generation device comprises: a resonance circuit; a high-frequency control circuit controlling a resonance frequency of the resonance circuit; a discharge gap mechanism part which is connected in parallel to a secondary side of a flyback transformer, and in which two electrodes are made penetrate in an orthogonal direction to two pillar parts and fixed, and the opposed surfaces form a predetermined gap length; a plurality of secondary side capacitors; and a coupling coil. In the high-frequency generation device, the discharge gap mechanism part is provided with: a moving drive part moving and rotating one of the electrodes back and forth to adjust the gap length; a motor driving the moving drive part; an encoder detecting the number of revolution of the motor; a motor control circuit controlling the motor so that the gap length becomes a gap setting value, on the basis of the number of revolution of the motor. |
