PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal aligning agent that can form a liquid crystal display element having high light resistance and has an excellent coating property and high reworkability.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal aligning agent contains [A] a compound represented by the following formula (1), and [B] a polymer. In the following formula (1), Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, a 6-20C monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group, a 4-20C monovalent heterocyclic group, or a group obtained by substituting a part or all of hydrogen atoms included in the aromatic hydrocarbon group and heterocyclic group with a substituent. Rrepresents a 1-12C alkyl group or a 1-12C alkoxy group. Rand Reach represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a 1-20C alkyl group. [B] polymer is preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid, polyimide and poly siloxane, and more preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of polyamic acid and polyimide. |
