PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for leaching metals, in a method of reductively leaching metals from a cathode active material composing a battery using a reducing agent, capable of economically and effectively leaching metals at a high leaching rate, and a method for recovering metals from a battery with the leaching method applied.SOLUTION: An acidic solution is added to slurry comprising the cathode active material of a battery, and in a state where the pH of the slurry is held to a prescribed range, in accordance with the variation of the oxidation-reduction potential of the slurry, the feed of a reducing agent is controlled, and metals are reductively leached. |
