PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized rotary electric machine that is capable of high-speed rotation and of outputting large torque in a low-speed rotation range.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes a magnetization coil 51 wound in a circumferential direction, a yoke 52 acting as a magnetic path of magnetic flux made of the magnetization coil 51, a variable magnet 53 in the magnetic path magnetized along the magnetic flux, and auxiliary field magnets SF arranged at intervals at an edge side of a rotor 4 in the axis direction of the rotor 4. Further, a rotor core 22 is provided with a first protrusion 37 protruded from a first magnetic pole part 35 to the edge side in the axis direction and a second protrusion 38 protruded from a second magnetic pole part 36 to the end side in the axis direction and arranged at a position nearer the inside in a radial direction than the first protrusion 37. Moreover, the yoke 52 is provided with an outer magnetic pole part 54 opposed to the first protrusion 37 in the axis direction, an inner magnetic pole part 55 opposed to the second protrusion 38 in the axis direction, and a gap G between the parts 54 and 55. |
