PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of increasing force holding a steering wheel at an adjusted position even by a rocking friction plate 24a having a narrow width dimension and to improve a degree of freedom in design.SOLUTION: A rocking friction plate 24a is pivotally supported by a rocking support shaft 26a which is provided in parallel with an adjusting rod 22a at a position deviated from extension lines of a long hole 19a for telescopic adjustment and a long hole 21a for tilt adjustment on a side surface of an outer column 14a displacing together with a displacement bracket 12a. A front half part of the rocking friction plate 24a is held between an outside surface of the displacement bracket 12a and an inside surface of a support plate section 20a of a support bracket 13a. The rocking friction plate 24a is energized toward to the adjusting rod 22a by a spring 29. |
