PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information transmission device for providing program information via a network and using the information.SOLUTION: A program information transmission device for receiving a digital broadcast including program information with an attribute related to a program described therein includes: a program information processing unit for acquiring program information from a digital broadcast signal; an equipment information provision unit for providing equipment description information describing a command to control the program information transmission device to another device connected to a network; a program information conversion unit for generating an EPG object with the use of the program information acquired by the program information processing unit; a program information provision unit for providing the generated EPG object as second program information in accordance with a first command to be transmitted from the other device on the basis of the equipment description information; and a reservation video-recording unit for setting the video-recording of a program designated in response to a second command to be transmitted from the other device on the basis of the equipment description information and returning a result. The program information transmission device includes information for setting and stopping the video-recording of a program designated by the response of the second command.
