PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle coast traveling control system making it possible to improve a vehicle fuel economy under the coast traveling control.SOLUTION: A coast traveling control system 10 of a vehicle 1 causes the vehicle 1 to alternately and repeatedly perform acceleration traveling, during which the vehicle 1 to be driven by an engine 11 is accelerated to an upper-limit vehicle velocity VH by the engine 11 after the vehicle reaches a lower-limit vehicle velocity VL, and coast traveling during which the vehicle 1 coasts until the vehicle 1 reaches the lower-limit vehicle velocity VL with the engine 11 held stopped after the vehicle reaches the upper-limit vehicle velocity VH. The coast traveling control system 10 of the vehicle 1 includes a motor-generator 14 coupled to the engine 11, an electric storage device 16 connected to the motor-generator 14, and a control means 17 that selectively implements motor assisted control, under which the motor-generator 14 is driven to rotate by the electric storage device 17 during acceleration traveling, and electric power generation control under which the motor generator 14 is driven to generate electricity for the purpose of charging the electric storage device 16 and an engine output is increased to get larger than that under the motor assisted control. |
