PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply liquid from a volume variable liquid container to a sub-tank in a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head 300 for discharging liquid, and a sub-tank 200 for storing liquid to be supplied to the recording head 300. A flexible and sealed type liquid container 100 for storing liquid to be supplied to the sub-tank 200 can be removably mounted on the inkjet recording apparatus. The sub-tank 200 includes an atmosphere open port 209 and opening/closing means 210 for the atmosphere open port 209. The opening/closing means 210 opens the atmosphere open port 209 when a liquid level within the sub-tank 200 is less than a predetermined liquid level L, and closes the atmosphere open port 209 when the liquid level is the predetermined liquid level L or more. The liquid container 100 can be mounted so that a liquid level L1 in the liquid container 100 is at a position higher than the predetermined liquid level L. |
