The present invention relates to a generator comprising: a rotor having multiple cores fixed at a shaft and spread radially outwards with an interval therebetween; a stator having multiple cores spread radially inwards with an interval therebetween while forming a gap from the rotor; a winding wound around at least one core of each of the rotor and the stator for providing a magnetic flux path; a heat exchanger part positioned at ends of the cores of each of the rotor and the stator. According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent arc generation between the stator and the rotor since the coils are not exposed to helium gas, and to obtain more excellent cooling effects since the helium gas used as a coolant is forced to flow in.
