PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent omission of light emission even when minute emission of light is repeated.SOLUTION: A stroboscopic device is provided with a control part 60 configured such that the timing at which a trigger circuit 48 initiates to apply a trigger voltage to a trigger electrode 18 is caused to take place later than the timing at which the application of a discharge voltage, boosted by a booster circuit 34, to discharge electrodes 14 and 16 is initiated. By applying a high discharge voltage boosted by the booster circuit 34, ionization in a flash discharge tube 10 is accelerated sufficiently. After the ionization is stabilized, the trigger voltage is applied and the flash discharge tube 10 initiates light emission. |
