PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device configured to prevent a rear surface of a sheet from being stained with toner overflowing from an edge of the sheet and non-transfer toner deposited in an inter-paper region on an image carrier.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes an image carrier on which a toner image is formed according to image information, a transfer member arranged opposite the image carrier, sheet conveyance means for conveying a sheet so as to pass through a transfer area where the image carrier faces the transfer member, and moving means for bringing the transfer member close to/away from the image carrier. The toner image can be formed up to the end of the sheet so as not to form margins in circumferential edges or any of the edges. The image forming device includes cleaning means for cleaning a surface of the transfer member, and non-transfer toner depositing means for depositing non-transfer toner in an inter-paper region on the image carrier. When the inter-paper region with the non-transfer toner deposited thereon passes through the transfer area, the moving means separates the transfer member from the image carrier. |
