PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with secured visibility of a display.SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 as an imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging section 29 for obtaining an object image; a display 18a for displaying the object image; and a signal processing control section 11 for performing various signal processing and control. The display 18a changes its position and posture against a camera body 10. A display state determination section 11d determines the position and posture of the display 18a against the camera body 10. A connecting apparatus determination section 11c determines an accessory 40 connected to the camera body 10 and obtains information such as the size of the accessory 40. An area determination section 11f determines a valid display range visible from a photographer, in a display area of the display 18a, on the basis of a position and posture of the display 18a and positional relation between the display 18a and each part of the accessory 40 and the camera body 10. A display control section 11b displays the object image in the valid display range. |
