PURPOSE: An ink composition for black matrix is provided to prevent the generation of pin-holes of black matrix in a transferred pattern when manufacturing a black matrix pattern. CONSTITUTION: An ink composition for black matrix comprises a binder resin, a polymerizable monomer, an initiator, pigment comprising carbon black of which particle diameter is within 5-150 nm, and average particle diameter is 50-100 nm, and a solvent. A standard deviation of particle diameter of the carbon black is 20 or less. The pigment is a singular material or a mixture with the carbon black and the colorant. The binder resin is manufactured by polymerizing an acid-containing monomer, a monomer copolymerizable with the acid-containing monomer, and an acid-containing monomer having one or more C3-20 side chains.
