Disclosed are an electricity management system and a method for predicting amount of electricity used. An electricity management system according to one aspect of the present invention includes: an input part for receiving a prediction period, to predict the amount of electricity used in at least one household; a communication part for receiving a daily average temperature of the prediction period; and a calculation part for predicting the amount of electricity used during the prediction period by using a prediction mathematical formula determined from correlation between the daily average temperature of the prediction period and a daily average temperature of a fixed period in the past and the amount of electricity used during the fixed period in the past.
