PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white organic EL element improved in durability characteristics.SOLUTION: A luminous layer is formed in a laminate configuration comprising a first luminous layer 5 and a second luminous layer 4, and a difference of LUMO energies of a host and a blue-emitting dopant in the first luminous layer 5 is set to be larger than a difference of HOMO energies.
