PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device and an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of scratches on continuous paper due to the position correction of the continuous paper in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the continuous paper.SOLUTION: A skew roll 62 is rotated by the contact of an outer peripheral surface 62B of the skew roll 62 with a surface of continuous paper P to be conveyed. An edge of the continuous paper P to be conveyed is abutted against a side guide by the rotation of the skew roll 62. Thus, the displacement of the continuous paper P in the main scanning direction is corrected. Since the cross-sectional shape of the outer peripheral surface 62B is formed in a circular arc shape, a corner part 62D and the surface of the continuous paper P do not contact each other. In this manner, the scratches generated on the continuous paper P due to the position correction of the continuous paper P in the main scanning direction are suppressed. |
