RADIATION DETECTOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of achieving the high sensitivity of radiations and a method for manufacturing the radiation detector.SOLUTION: A radiation detector includes: a sensor substrate and a scintillator layer. The sensor substrate is able to perform photoelectric conversion. The scintillator layer includes a first region containing activator and a second region containing activator whose concentration is lower than that of the activator contained in the first region. Also, the scintillator layer is disposed on the sensor substrate such that the first and second regions are arranged in the thickness direction of the scintillator layer and that the first region is arranged in the end at the sensor substrate side in the scintillator layer in the thickness direction.
