PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luciferase having a smaller shift of the maximum luminescent wavelength with respect to a temperature change.SOLUTION: The maximum luminescent wavelength of light emitted when a luciferase of the present invention catalyzes a light emitting reaction at any temperature of 5-42°C is a value within the range of 555-580 nm. The luciferase is derived from Pyrocoelia abdominalis.
