PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize material of a steel plate required for manufacture, while an average value of a plate thickness of the steel plate is made not to be smaller than a nominal thickness.SOLUTION: The rolling machine of the present invention includes: a plate thickness meter 10 for measuring an actual value of a plate thickness of a steel plate S after being rolled by work rolls 2a, 2b of a rolling machine 1; a rotation meter 11 for measuring sending-out quantity of the steel plate S; an opening meter 12 for measuring a roll gap and a reduction load of the work rolls 2a, 2b; and a control part 13 for calculating a plate thickness control target on the basis of input from the plate thickness meter 10, the rotation meter 11, and the opening meter 12, and on the basis of the plate thickness control target, controlling a reduction cylinder 8 of the rolling machine 1. |
