PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for vehicle capable of releasing heat from a light source efficiently and performing more stably.SOLUTION: An image display device comprises: an image display element for generating an image based on an image signal; a light source for causing the image display element to display an image; and a heat release part for releasing heat generated at the light source. The heat release part which is a plate member including a first surface (262) provided with the light source and a second surface (263) being a rear surface thereof comprises: a base material part (261) including a first end part (266) which is the near side to the light source and a second end part (267) which is the other side of the first end part; and a plurality of fin members (269) which consist of plate members thinner than the base material part, and are formed to be extended from the first surface and the second surface. A prescribed area from the first end part toward the second end part on the first surface is a flat area not provided with the fin members but provided with the light source, and at least a part of the plurality of fin members has an extension length getting longer or shorter toward either of the first end part or the second end part of the base material part. |
