PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus able to reduce displacement of a camera unit more in the case where a camera unit is in a tele-state than the case where the camera unit is in a wide-state, in the event that impact is applied to the camera unit.SOLUTION: A dome type camera 100 comprises: a camera unit 1 including a photographic lens 3 and an imager 6 configured to convert a subject image, imaged by the photographic lens 3, into an electric signal; and a support part 33 supporting the camera unit 1 such that the camera unit 1 is rotatable. The rotation center of the camera unit 1 is provided on a line connecting the position of a tele-gravity-center 8, which is the gravity center of the camera unit 1 when the photographic lens 3 is located at the tele-end side, and the position of a wide-gravity-center 7, which is the gravity center of the camera unit 1 when the photographic lens 3 is located at the wide end side. Additionally, the rotation center is located between the position of the tele-gravity-center 8 and the position of the wide-gravity-center 7, and near the position of the tele-gravity-center 8. |
