PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength aluminum alloy sheet capable of being applied with an alumite film used for a casing or the like for electronic equipment, having high strength and satisfactory thermal conductivity, further having a white color tone and also having a suitable yellow tint.SOLUTION: Provided is an aluminum alloy ingot having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.80 to 1.8% Mg, 0.05 to 0.30% Fe, 0.20% or lower of Si, 0.03 to 0.15% Cu, 0.05 to 0.20% Mn and 0.05 to 0.15% Cr, and in which the content of Zn is regulated to below 0.15%, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is subjected to homogenizing treatment of being held at a temperature of 560 to 620°C for 1 to 5 hr, and is subjected to cold rolling at a final cold rolling rate of 15 to 95% through hot rolling and process annealing or not-through them to obtain an aluminum alloy sheet having a 0.2% proof stress of 180 MPa or higher and an electric conductivity of 40(IACS%) or higher. |
